Homelessness
in Melbourne City
Homelessness is a very important issue in Melbourne as well as all around Australia. Homelessness can happen to anyone at any point in their lives, which is why it is insanely important for us to reduce the homelessness rates. Being homeless comes with many risks and can be very dangerous.

Racism
in Melbourne City
In Melbourne, there is a lot of systemic racism that is embedded into our city. There is mainly racism against aboriginals and asians. Racism is very normalised in Australia and it is not fair for those who are facing this discrimination. It is very important that we stand up for what we believe in in this country so we could possibly get an improvement. Last year, in 2020, there were many BLACK LIVES MATTER protests that took place all over the world, including Melbourne.

Population Growth
in Melbourne City
Melbourne may seem like its perfect but it definitely isn't. Our population is growing at an average of 1.67% to 6.23% per year. This means per year, there is an increase of around 70,000 to 280,000 people to the overall population of Melbourne. Melbourne is currently the second-most liveable city in the world and the most liveable in Australia - this means that there are more people wanting to live here.

Coronavirus
in Melbourne City
So many new strains and lockdowns, the Melbourne as we know it is changing. The lively cities and streets have now become dull as we wait for another lockdown to end. The pandemic is effecting Melbourne a large amount but it is nothing we can’t fix as a community.

Mental Health
in Melbourne City
Mental health problems can have a negative influence on homelessness, poverty, employment, safety, etc. They may impact the productivity of local businesses, health care costs, destroy the ability of children and youth to succeed in school and lead to family and community disruption.
